Are you shocked?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to Professor Ault and everyone else who left feedback on my Initial Concepts post! I appreciated everyone&#8217;s supportive comments and I hope this post will clear up some of the questions I received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been playing with this idea since around April of last semester, so I have definitely fleshed out the majority of the show before jumping into the technical skills I&#8217;m working on now (constructing sets, puppets, etc.) The script has been written and revised several times, and I do have a storyboard that has decided the direction for my set designs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for questions about how I&#8217;ve tackled pre-production, I made this schedule back in the summer: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1-640x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1-640x1024.png 640w, https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1-188x300.png 188w, https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1-768x1229.png 768w, https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1-1200x1920.png 1200w, https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/PRODUCTION-SCHEDULE-01-1.png 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideally, this semester I&#8217;d like to finish ALL of pre-production, and leave all filming, editing, post, etc. to next semester, along with the construction of my exhibit for the showcase. I&#8217;m on track for now! If I need to push a set or two to next semester, I&#8217;m prepared to adjust for that, too. I&#8217;m really focused on getting the puppets themselves finished. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>FINAL DELIVERABLES:<\/strong><\/li><li>an 11-minute pilot for a show featuring puppets<\/li><li>thoughtful exhibit presentation showing behind the scenes and puppet display for people to play with (inspired by Jim Henson exhibition)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>BONUS: as you can see from my schedule, I&#8217;m approaching my deadline for my practice puppet (which ideally will be a mini-me to have on my hand for the showcase). Here&#8217;s how that&#8217;s going so far! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/ault.immtcnj.com\/thesis_fall_19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/puppet-thumbs-2.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>This is my first puppet! I&#8217;ve already learned a lot, and I&#8217;ve also invested in better tools since starting this one over the summer. I&#8217;ve taken my time with it and now that I&#8217;ve gotten the steps down, I think I could get a puppet from start to finish in a couple days of work, which is great for my schedule. But I&#8217;m very happy with the result for a first time!
